Depositors Compensation Scheme

The Depositor Compensation Scheme is a government scheme, created to provide protection for customers who have deposits with New Zealand deposit takers, including The Co-operative Bank. The scheme provides protection for customer deposits up to $100,000 per deposit taker, in the unlikely event a deposit taker fails.

Interest rate

There is no interest paid on credit balances on an Electronic account. If you want to earn interest, see savings accounts or term deposits.
