Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about our upcoming new mobile app.
arrow_downTo change the mobile app PIN of device on the log in screen tap ‘Forgot’ then Reset PIN. You’ll need to enter your customer number and password to continue.
Can’t remember your customer number? This might help.
Forgotten your Internet Banking password? You can try re-setting online. Check here if you’d like instructions.
If you have our current app downloaded, make sure you have updated it to the latest version. Doing this will ensure you have a super smooth transition to our app if your phone supports either iOS14 and above or Android 5 and above.
If you have automatic updates turned on, our current app should be updated to the latest version.
If you don't allow automatic updates, please download the app from the App Store or Google Play for either IOS or Android devices.
The app is designed to be clear and easy to navigate, however we recommend jumping in and getting familiar before heading out and about.
Here’s a couple big features that you’ll notice:
‘Bottom navigation’ available from every screen. We’ve improved our layout to make things quicker and easier by placing viewing accounts, moving money and menu access at the bottom of every screen.
Pay & Transfer always there. We’ve built a brand new pay and transfer flow, easily accessible from the new bottom navigation.
Simplified menu. Tap Menu at the bottom right of any screen to bring up a brand new, cleaner menu. From there you can check your message inbox, open & apply for new accounts and products and more.
Log out is now from the menu. When you’re finished using the app don’t forget to log out! Just tap Menu and then ‘Log out’ at the top right. Easy.
The app is supported on devices with either iOS 14 and above or Android 5 and above. We recommend keeping your device protected with the latest security updates from your manufacturer.
The app is supported on devices with either iOS 14 and above or Android 5 and above. If your operating system is older than these, you won’t have access to our mobile app.
You may be able to upgrade your operating system depending on your device. To check, see the FAQ’s above about finding your devices operating system.
- Open your device's Settings.
- Tap About Phone or About Device.
- Tap Android Version to display your version information.
If you are using Android 5 or above you should be able to use our new app.
Even if you can’t use our app you should be able to use Internet Banking from your phone’s internet browser. Our Internet Banking re-sizes to fit the size of the screen that you are using.
To use Internet Banking head to our website tap Log in and enter your Customer number and Password.
Tired eyes? You might find Dark mode appealing!
Dark mode is the ability to change the light background of the app to a darker one. Sometimes this is called night mode. In Dark mode the text colour changes from dark to light.
On Android devices you can have Dark mode on our app but Light mode on others. On Apple, you choose to apply Light or Dark mode to all apps on that device in the device’s Settings.
You can personalise your experience by adding photos to your accounts. Just tap the account, then the settings icon at the top right. Then choose ‘Account image’ or ‘Add an image’. Take a photo or add one from your gallery or photo library.
Definitely! Our designers are passionate about creating accessible and inclusive experiences for all our customers. They’ve designed the app using Apple and Google’s native code - making the apps more compatible with the devices' own assistive features, like large text and screen readers. They’re also actively looking for ways to improve through user testing and research.
