The first step in getting set-up for Internet Banking is to call us. During your registration phone call we will give you a temporary PIN number which you can use for your first login to Internet Banking.
You will need your customer number to complete registration.
Where to find your customer number:
- In the Mobile app
- Via the Internet Banking - Password reset page
- On your Statement
- On the back of your EFTPOS card (not Debit Mastercard or Fair Rate Credit Card).
If you are having trouble finding your customer number, don’t worry, our team can assist you with this when you call us.
To learn more about the range of banking methods we offer, visit our Ways you can bank with us page.
To register:
- Call us on 0800 554 554
- To verify your identity, we will ask you a series of security questions about your accounts that only you should have all the answers to.
- We’ll provide you a four-digit temporary PIN, which will be valid for one use, that allows you to log in to Internet Banking for the first time.
First time login:
- Visit www.co-operativebank.co.nz and click on the Log in button (top right-hand corner) to open the Internet Banking log in page.
- Under Login help, click on Register for Internet Banking.
- Enter your customer number, and in the password box, enter the temporary PIN given to you during your registration call with us.
- Click Register under the password box, then read and agree to the terms and conditions. We will then get you to choose a unique password to use in all future logins to Internet Banking.
Strong password tips:
- A good password will be a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers, will not contain common words or information about yourself (e.g. family or pet names), and will not be used on any other websites.
- Internet Banking Passwords must be at least 8 characters long, containing at least one letter and one number.
