The Co-operative Bank has been named Bank of the Year 2026 in the Roy Morgan New Zealand Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The awards recognise businesses delivering outstanding customer satisfaction, with more than 150 companies competing across 25 categories. The results are based on the experiences of more than 6,000 New Zealand consumers independently surveyed by Roy Morgan throughout the year.

The Co-operative Bank Chief Executive Mark Wilkshire said the award was especially meaningful because it reflected customers’ experiences.

“As a customer-owned bank, our customers are at the heart of what we do. When the Bank does well, that success is shared with them.

“Alongside five consecutive years at number one in the Consumer NZ Banking Survey for customer satisfaction, this award reflects our consistent focus on serving our customers.

“This recognition belongs to our people across the country for the care and commitment they show our customers every day, and to our customer-owners for the trust they place in us.”
