Sending international payments - fee change
Since Monday 9 October 2023, the fee for sending both online/mobile app and in-branch international payments has been reduced to $8 (per time) from $20 (per time). There continues to be no fee for receiving international payments and full information on all our fees can be found via the link at the bottom of this page.
Foreign cheque removals
From 1 March 2023, The Co‑operative Bank will no longer provide foreign cheque services. This change reflects the industry shift away from cheques, with online payment solutions providing fast and secure alternatives.

Payments to and from Russia
Due to the recent developments in Ukraine and in line with international sanctions, all payments to and from Russia have been suspended until further notice.

International payments partner rebrand
Our international payments partner, Western Union Business Solutions was recently purchased by Convera and as such, is rebranding to Convera. There are no other changes to our international payments services as a result of this change.
