Our steps to help you through Financial Hardship
Life can throw unexpected turns that can sometimes leave you in a position of financial hardship. This can be for all kinds of reasons and, if any of these situations apply to you, we may be able to help:
- Job loss,
- Unexpected reduction in income,
- Illness or injury,
- Relationship breakdown, and, or
- A death in the family.
We still may be able to help even if the above situations don't apply to you.
The sooner you get in touch with us the better, if you leave it too late we may not have as many options available for assistance.
As every situation is different, we have a number of different options available. Each solution is dependent on your circumstances and the product you have with us. It may be;
- A loan repayment holiday,
- Interest-only home loan payments,
- Consolidating your debts, or
- Extending the term of your loan.
We'll need you to complete our Financial Hardship form.
- If you're experiencing financial difficulty please complete this form.
- Submit the form to us by emailing it to Hardship@co-operativebank.co.nz or visit your local branch.
If you need a hand, get in touch with your local branch, or call us on 0800 554 554, Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm. Weekends 9am - 4pm.
Once we've got your completed application form we'll get back to you within 5 days.
