The Beta programme
The purpose of the The Co‑operative Bank (referred to as the Bank) Beta programme is to make new features of the mobile app available to a small group of people from time to time for the purpose of gaining feedback on the quality and usability of those new features, as well as the existing design.
- You agree to participate in the Beta programme, and the information you learn or share with the Bank, as a tester is confidential between us and cannot be shared.
- You can opt out and not participate in the Beta programme at any time by emailing us, and our reply will confirm the programme ending. Alternatively we will inform you by email when the Beta programme ends.
- The information you provide in the Beta recruitment survey and in any engagement or communication with the Bank is accurate and true, to the best of your knowledge and given in good faith.
- You are not a member of the press, or an employee or representative of any competitor of the Bank (for example a bank, insurer, finance company or lending institution).
- You won't disclose your part in the Beta programme to any member of the press or social media group.
- You license the Bank to freely use the feedback and suggestions you provide. Any Intellectual Property created out of this process is automatically assigned in full to the Bank.
- Signing up for the Beta programme does not obligate us to provide you with the Beta version of the app, and we reserve the right to revoke your participation in the programme at any time and without cause.
- You understand and agree that you are responsible for any and all activity that occurs on the Beta version of the app installed on your device. You will ensure that any third party using the Beta version of the app installed on your device complies at all times with the terms and conditions for being a Bank beta tester contained within this document, and you agree to indemnify the Bank against any claims, disputes or otherwise relating to a breach of these terms and conditions by a third party using the Beta version of the app installed on your device.
- You understand and agree to the information and data from you, only being used for designing and developing the Banks’ mobile app and related digital or website enhancements. We will securely store this data for future reference, and any personal information in accordance with the obligations set out in our Privacy Statement.
