Make your savings work harder

Each month that your balance increases (excluding interest paid) and you make no more than one withdrawal, you'll be rewarded with bonus interest. There’s no minimum balance, but the more money you save, the more interest you'll earn.

One withdrawal a month

Saving is no fun if you never get to spend it – so take advantage of being able to make one withdrawal a month and still qualify for the bonus interest rate*.

What are the interest rates?
Balance% p.a.
Standard rate0.55
Bonus* rate1.45
Total potential rate2.00

Interest calculated daily and paid monthly

The bonus rate of 1.45% p.a. is paid every month if the account balance, exclusive of interest, is higher at the month end (or on the date the account is closed) than the balance at the start of the month (or on the date the account is opened if the account has been open for less than one month) and no more than one withdrawal is made in the month. If you make one withdrawal within a month, you still need to ensure your balance at the end of the month has grown (excluding interest paid) to be eligible for bonus interest. If you make more than one withdrawal in a month you'll earn the standard interest rate.

A month in this context runs from 8pm on the last day of a calendar month to 7.59pm on the last day of the next month

Interest rates and fees are subject to change. For more information, see our Terms & Conditions.

Please note external transfers (i.e. payments to an account held at another bank) cannot be made from this type of account. You’ll need an Everyday account to do this.
