Apple Pay

Apple Pay is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac with Touch ID, Mac when paired with an Apple Pay enabled iPhone or Apple Watch and the latest iOS.

Apple Pay uses the security features built into your Apple device to help keep your purchases private and secure. All transactions require Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, and a double click on your Apple Watch.

Any Co‑operative Bank Fair Rate Credit Card or Debit Mastercard can be used with Apple Pay. You cannot use an EFTPOS card with Apple Pay.

If you've started to add a card in the mobile app but didn't complete the process, you can continue the set up within the Apple Wallet.

• Open your Apple Wallet
• Select The Co‑operative Bank card
• Select 'Complete Verification'

There's no specific purchase limit for Apple Pay purchases with Co‑operative Bank cards, however you'll need to stay within the daily limits of the card you’re using for your purchase.

You can use Apple Pay on your Apple device in stores in New Zealand or overseas wherever you see one of these symbols:

To use Apple Pay in your favourite apps, look for the ‘Buy with Apple Pay’ button.

Yes, you can use Apple Pay wherever you see the contactless payment symbol.

Loading a block on your card will stop any transactions being made on your physical card. You can do this in The Co‑operative Bank mobile app.

The card in your Apple Wallet will continue to work if you place a block on the physical card unless you also remove it from the Apple Wallet. You can unblock your card any time within the mobile app or order a replacement card.

Any replacement card details will be updated in the Apple Wallet automatically when the card is issued.

You can continue to use your physical card and do not need to replace this. If you feel your phone is compromised or someone has unauthorised access to your Apple Wallet, please call us immediately on 0800 554 554 or +64 4 463 1758 if calling from overseas, and we can remove the card from your Apple Wallet.

If you have your phone handy you can follow the prompts to remove your card from your Apple Wallet. If you do not have access to your phone, you can remove the card remotely following the below instructions:

Option 1: Use iCloud to Remove Apple Pay Cards

1. Go to http://iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
2. Click “Find iPhone”.
3. Select your device from the list.
4. Choose  “Lost Mode”  or  “Erase iPhone” :
• Lost Mode: Locks your device and suspends Apple Pay.
• Erase iPhone: Completely wipes the device, including Apple Pay cards.

Important: Even if your phone is offline, Apple Pay will be disabled the next time it connects to the internet.

Option 2: Use Apple ID Settings

1. Visit appleid.apple.com.
2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
3. Scroll to Devices and select the one you lost

After requesting a new card, it can take between 1 and 2 days to be available to load into Apple Pay. A notification will be sent to your phone when it is ready. If you are replacing a card that was already set up in Apple Pay, the new card details will be updated automatically.
