Mobile app
- Log into the mobile app and tap on Menu in the bottom navigation bar, then tap on Cards in the menu.
- Next, tap on the image of the card/s you wish to temporarily block. Then tap Block card and Confirm to complete.
Internet Banking
- Log into Internet Banking and click on Settings in the top menu.
- Click the Deactivate button on the card(s) you wish to temporarily block.
- Read the information in the pop-up box and click Yes please to confirm and complete the process.

To permanently cancel your EFTPOS or Debit Mastercard® either call us on 0800 554 554 or visit us in branch.
Cancelling your Fair Rate Credit Card
If you’d like to permanently cancel your credit card and close your credit card account, you can either call us on 0800 554 554 or visit us in branch, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Please note that if there’s an outstanding balance it’ll need to be paid off before your credit card account can be closed.
