Opening a new account in our mobile app

  • Log into the mobile app and tap on 'Menu' in the bottom navigation bar, then tap on 'Open & Apply' in the menu
  • In the next screen tap on either Everyday or Savings. If you have joint accounts with others already, you will be asked who this account is for. Note: If you want to open a joint account, you can choose from your list of pre-existing relationships. To add new relationships or open accounts in a childs name, contact us on 0800 554 554.
  • Select the account type by tapping on the account name. The information provided about the accounts is general only and not financial advice. Scroll down and check the box to confirm that you understand this.
  • Next you can personalise the new account such as adding an optional nickname/colour and choosing if you want paper statements (Note: a charge applies for these). Tap the slider button to your preference, then tap Next to confirm.
  • Review the account details, read and agree to the terms & conditions, then tap 'Open account'. Your new account is now ready to go. Your new bank account is now ready to go. You can start using it immediately to manage your finances. Whether you want to make deposits, set up automatic bill payments, transfer funds, everything is ready for you to get started.

Internet Banking

  1. Log into Internet Banking and click on Open & Apply in the top menu then click New account under Everyday and Savings

  2. In the next screen, select which type of account you would like to open, Everyday or Savings and click Next

  3. Next, choose who will own and have access to the account (Note: If you are opening a joint account, you can choose from a list of pre-existing relationships. To add new relationships or open accounts in a Childs name, contact us on 0800 554 554.) Click Next to confirm
  4. Select the account type. The information about the accounts provided here is general only, and not financial advice. Scroll down and check the box to confirm that you understand this. Click Next to continue

  5. You can then personalise the account by adding a nickname should you wish to and choose if you want to receive regular paper statements in the mail (Note: a charge applies for these). To change this setting click To change this setting just click the Yes/No slider, then click Next
  6. Finally, confirm all the details are correct and click Confirm to complete the account set up. Your new bank account is now ready to go. You can start using it immediately to manage your finances. Whether you want to make deposits, set up automatic bill payments, transfer funds, everything is ready for you to get started.
