Make your banking easier by personalising your accounts with pictures and nicknames.

To make a start, head to the account view screen on Internet Banking by clicking an account tile or swiping on the App. Here you can get more info on the account, make changes and personalise it to make the account uniquely yours!

On Internet Banking - Head to the account you want to update and select the Edit buttons in the left hand panel.

On the App. - Tap the cog icon on the top right of the screen.


Let’s get personal!

You'll see information about the account and the word Edit near the info if you can change something here.

Account nickname - Editing an account name to add a nickname makes it easier to tell which account is which. Account nicknames show on the home screen and account detail page. On the web just tap ‘Edit’, type in the nickname you’d like for the account and press the Save button.

Account image - Adding a photo can help you tell the difference between accounts. Personalised photos show on the account tiles on the home screen, and on the account detail page. They also currently appear as background images on the account details screen on the app.

In Internet Banking; simply select Edit at change account image.

On the app tap the cog icon on the top right of the screen. You can then personalise your account by tapping ‘Add an image’.

Posted statements - You can choose to get paper statements in the mail for the account by sliding ‘Posted statements’ on in the account view menu in Internet Banking. You need to confirm that you’d like statements for this account as there may be a fee for each statement posted.

Overdraft - Some accounts like the Current Account can have an Overdraft attached to them. If you can apply for an Overdraft on the account you’ll see the option on the account view menu in Internet Banking or by selecting Overdraft from the ‘Open & Apply’ menu in the app.


What else can you do at the Account view?

There’s more to the Account view screen. As well as getting a balance, checking future and past transactions and personalising the account, you can also:

Share your account number – Lets you copy or email your interbank number to share. Someone who needs to pay you from another NZ bank account will need your interbank number.

Change the account type - Things change. When your needs for an account change you can alter it from one account type to another by tapping Edit next to Account type.
